About · The Curator

Hello, readers

I'm Jennifer — blogger, counsellor, and lifelong lover of art

Wherever I travel, I go looking for new art and new ways of seeing.

I am Jennifer, a full-time blogger and a guidance counsellor. My love for paintings and the arts gave me the idea to start writing this blog. There are so many great artists in this world that most people do not know of — and I feel it is my duty to bring those artists, and their great works, into the light.

I have travelled all over the world to experience new art and culture. My love for art began when I was very young, and even after so many years I still feel alive and thrilled the moment I stand before a great work. In this blog you will find plenty of articles on art and architecture. I studied art formally, and I believe nobody should be deprived of the opportunity to make a career as an artist. A great artist rarely gets the immediate recognition afforded to a great academic; realising this, I felt inspired to start writing, because I wanted people to know that there is a real and lasting career to be had in art.

Art can take any form — it is not confined to painting or sculpture. In today's world it also includes graphic design, animation, fashion design and much more.

What you'll find here

  • Portraits of the overlooked masters — the painters history nearly forgot
  • Essays on the great paintings, the lost ones, and the overrated ones
  • Guides for young artists — where to study, and where to begin
  • Notes from my travels in search of new art and architecture

If you want to learn about the various arts and art forms, you can visit here regularly, because I write new articles quite frequently. I am also a public speaker, and I love to share my experience with the people around me. I offer career counselling to parents and to students who are not yet sure which path they want to take.

A detail of carved classical architecture
Art and architecture, I think, go hand in hand.

I also have a great interest in architecture. In fact, I believe art and architecture go hand in hand — many of the great painters were also architects and sculptors. I love visiting new places in search of new art and new forms, and I love sharing what I find.

Lately I have been learning a little graphic design and animation, so very soon I will be adding articles on those subjects too. If there is anything specific you would like to know about these topics, leave me a message and I will try to share what I know.

Art is not only my passion — it is my life. Everyone, I believe, should get to experience its beauty in one form or another.

Not everyone is an artist, but everyone can benefit from art. I have guided many parents and children on the benefits of bringing art into their lives, and most of them have gained from it.

If this is your first visit, do explore my past work as well — I also write travel articles, and I am sure you will enjoy reading them. I am always open to comments and constructive criticism. If you have any queries, I would be glad to answer them; if you would like me to visit somewhere, or review something for you, just let me know. And if there is an art form you want to understand, send me a question and I will gladly take it up. After all, it is my work!

Thank you for visiting. I hope you had a lovely time reading. Please keep coming back. Say hello →
